The Y Catalog is honored to have Kino MacGregor, as The Y Catalog’s January 2010 Ambassador.

Yoga is a path of joy where the opening to learning comes from a genuine connection to the eternal nature of our being within. Since the yoga path can sometimes be an arduous journey into the depths of our being I teach yoga with a unique blend of inspiration, playfulness and compassion. My role as a teacher and ambassador of the path of yoga is to inspire as many of my fellow practitioners as possible to delve into the full expression of yoga's message of spiritual strength, balanced flexibility and emotional peace.

I love sharing the magical power of yoga with students all over the world. One of the most inspirational things about yoga for me is how it can simultaneously personal and universal in its ability to provide lasting transformation in the lives of practitioners. I tried my first yoga class when I was 19 years old without any real background in movement, dance or athletics out of a sincere wish for more peace in my life. Out of this desire came the unique and sometimes perilous path that has lead down my own journey of personal discovery through the heart of yoga. Three years after this first class and after only seven months of traditional Mysore Style Ashtanga Yoga practice I traveled to Mysore, India to meet the man whom I was lucky enough to consider my teacher, Sri K. Pattabhi Jois. Guruji's very presence answered some of the deepest questions that I held in my heart and this initial trip to Mysore I dedicated myself to the authentic spiritual path. Over the last ten years of my life I have made more than eight trips to India and when I was 29 years old Guruji gave me the Certification to teach and carry the torch of the Ashtanga yoga lineage too. As the youngest woman out of  a select group of people to receive this honor and practice the Advanced Series I am committed to bringing Ashtanga Yoga to as many people as possible all over the world.

In 2006 my husband Tim Feldmann and I founded Miami Life Center, where we now teach daily classes, workshops and intensives together in addition to our heavy international traveling schedule. We left a life of traveling to return to Miami Beach, where I am from, to create a space dedicated to the integration of yoga, holistic health and consciousness. Miami Life Center is a dream come true for my husband and I where we now live and work in a  community built around yoga, holistic health and consciousness on beautiful Miami Beach www.miamilifecenter.com. I have produced three Ashtanga yoga DVDs (Kino MacGregor – A Journey, A Workshop; Ashtanga Yoga Primary Series and Ashtanga Yoga Intermediate Series) and a yoga practice card. and currently working on one more yoga DVD.  I love sharing the inner work of yoga through my published writing, podcasts and articles and am currently working on a book about my personal experiences in yoga. My husband and I, along with Greg Nard, Matt Tashjian and Miami Life Center, have recently founded Yoga4You, a charitable organization in the process of becoming a registered 501(c)3 non-profit, whose aim and intention is to bring yoga to groups in need such as veterans of war, battered women, senior citizens and abused children.
